IIIIIIIIIT’S CHRISTMASSSSS! (Well, it was in my studio anyway… 😂)
And just like that, my Christmas minis are DONE for another year!
I had a fortnight of Christmas in the middle of October with six dedicated days of photographing over 60 children around Yorkshire. That is A LOT of photos… literally tens of thousands. And approximately a million different little personalities to keep up with.
Honestly, I don’t even know where to start with this one.
It was carnage, amazing, exhausting but it was SO worth it all in equal measure.
You genuinely never know what you’re going to get. Some come in and absolutely smash it, some take a little while to warm up, some have me working HARD for that smile, and some are just here for a good time and absolutely nobody is going to tell them otherwise and I LOVE that.
Whilst I obviously want to give you those beautiful Christmas photos, I also want to capture your children being THEM. The cheeky grins, the little expressions, the personalities that are getting bigger by the day.
That’s the stuff you’ll look back on in years to come and think, yep, that is SO them or WOW do you remember when they did THAT?!
But it’s also just a REALLY fun way to do your Christmas shopping.. you get to have an experience yourself whilst creating images that can be printed and put in various beautiful products and gifted to family. I call that the biggest win-win in the world!
Six days of minis is a LOT, and I won’t pretend otherwise. By the end, I was definitely ready for a sit down and a little bit of peace and quiet. (Although, with two little girls of my own, peace and quiet is probably asking a bit much. 😂)
But looking back at all the gorgeous little faces I’ve photographed, I’m reminded just how lucky I am to do this.
More than 60 little personalities and so many families trusting me to capture a little bit of their Christmas this year.
So, if you came along, THANK YOU. Thank you for booking, for trusting me, for bringing your lovely little people along and for being part of what makes these sessions so special.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I have approximately 47 things to catch up on, a studio to reset, and a cup of tea that I’d quite like to drink whilst it’s still hot.
(Who am I kidding? It’ll be cold before I’ve even sat down.)
