Hello lovely, if you’re new here, I’m Lucy – your Maternity, Newborn and Family photographer based in York bringing you all the best top tips and, today, the cutest newborn photographs to make you broodier than ever.

This was a very exciting shoot for me but needs a slight detour… so I went to uni at the University of York and studied English in Education with the idea I’d become a teacher but things obviously took a different turn! My course was a very small course (weirdly so if I’m honest) and there was about 20 of us on it. Fast forward 10 years – slight moment to gulp at that one though – and one of my classmates got in touch to have their newborn captured. I couldn’t have been more touched by it!

This little guy was a dream to capture.. he slept most of the way through and loved the newborn wraps and cuddles with Mum and Dad. It doesn’t always go that way so when it does, we soak it in!

Enough rambling, I’m sure you’d rather see the gorgeous little boy that I captured!
